THE government-run Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) is hiring additional 241 personnel to complete its staffing pattern to be able to better serve the public.
ZCMC Chief of Hospitals Dr. Romeo Ong said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved the fund for the standard staffing pattern of all government-run hospitals in the country.
Among the personnel the ZCMC will hire are physicians, nurses, and other hospital support staffs to enhance the service to the public, according to Ong.
The ZCMC, which is one of the Department of Health (DOH)-administered hospitals, is not only serving the medical needs of the resident of this city but to include those from other parts of Zamboanga Peninsula.
Also availing the services of the ZCMC are residents of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi provinces, which are part of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm).
Ong said those interested and qualified can submit their application before January 6 for evaluation.
Ong said those who will be hired will start working on February of 2014.
He said the hiring of additional personnel is in preparation to meet the required number of staffs of a 500-bed capacity hospital.
The National Government had upgraded the ZCMC this year to a 500-bed capacity aimed to serve more people. (Bong Garcia)
