7 hurt in motorcycles collision-A A +A

SEVEN people, including three children, were wounded in a New Year’s Eve collision between two motorcycles along the highway in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, said police.
Wounded were Lorde Adang, 20; Rodolfo Saraniloo, 23; Jolie Mae Baguio, 22; Aley Devine Casipog, 2; Aiza Casipog, 1; Lorna Adang, 40; and John Roel Fernandez, 7.
The Zamboanga del Norte Police Office reported that the accident took place around 11:25 a.m. Tuesday along the national highway in the village of Dela Paz, Liloy town.
Investigation showed that Saraniloo was driving a motorcycle with three passengers en route to Leon Postigo town from Labason when he was sideswiped by a motorcycle driven by Adang upon reaching the intersection in Dela Paz Village in Liloy town.
The two motorcycles with the drivers and passengers crashed on the pavement, said police.
Baguio and the Casipogs were onboard the motorcycle driven by Saralinoo, while Adang and Fernandez were passengers of Adang.
They were rushed to the hospital for treatment, the police added. (Bong Garcia)
