A SEPTUAGENARIAN businesswoman and three of her companions lost more than P80,000 in cash and valuables in a robbery hold-up perpetrated by three people who pretended to be customers in Dipolog City, the police reported Saturday.
The Zamboanga del Norte Police Office (ZDNPO) said the incident took place around 12:48 p.m. Friday at Appolo Mart Center in the village of Miputak, Dipolog City.
The police identified the victims as Nenita Tan, 76, and her daughter Juliet Lim, 52. Nenita is the owner of Appolo Mart Center, while Juliet is the store’s cashier.
Investigation showed that the victims together with their sales lady and sale boy were tending the business when three people arrived and bought a pack of cigarette and bottled water.
Two of the suspects pulled out handguns and declared the heist, while the other suspect acted as lookout, the police said.
The suspects took some P80,000 from the cashier’s drawer as well as the gold necklaces of Tan and that of her daughter, the police said.
Investigation continues in a bid to unmask the suspects who fled towards the village of Central, Dipolog City, after the incident, the police said.
