ZAMBOANGA Peninsula Police Office (ZPPO) Director Juanito Vaño has named Senior Inspector Joseph Ortega as the new
command spokesman and Public Information Officer (PIO) of ZPPO.
Senior Inspector Joseph Ortega, who was assigned at the ZCPO’s Police Station 7 (PS7), replaced Chief Inspector
Ariel Huesca as the ZPPO spokesman and as Firearms Explosives Security Agencies and Guards Section (Fesags) chief.
Huesca was relieved as spokesman of ZPPO as well as chief of the Firearms Explosives Security Agencies and Guards
Section (FESAGS) effective Wednesday, March 26.
Huesca was designated as the new commander of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company (ZCPSC).
Huesca replaced Superintendent William Gadayan, who was given a new assignment.
Inspector Dahlan Samuddin was named as the PIO.
“As outgoing PRO-9 spokesperson and PIO, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your invaluable and
unwavering support and cooperation in all PRO-9 activities,” Huesca said in a text message.
“To all media personnel, reporters and friends, thank you very much for your Media Company and outfit. Rest assured
my successors in office will carry on what I have started with high hopes that they will receive the same support
you gave me,” Huesca added.
