DPWH implements P45.5-M infra project-A A +A

THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is implementing P45.5 million worth of infrastructure project in Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur.
Engineer Reynerio Alchachupas, head of the DPWH-Zamboanga del Sur first engineering district, said the project is the widening and concreting of 1.65 kilometers road from the village of Bulatok to Tiguma towards the junction of the road leading to the Pagadian City airport.
Alchachupas said the funds for the implementation of the project come from the 2014 budget of the DPWH-central office.
The project is being implemented in coordination with the city government of Pagadian City, according to Alchacupas.
He said city government of Pagadian City pays the owners of structures affected by the road widening and concreting.
He noted that among the structure to be affected are commercial buildings and other structures that include houses.
He said the project is set to be finished within 114 calendar days. (Bong Garcia)
