Zamboanga police office to receive new equipment

THE Zamboanga Peninsula Police Office (ZPPO) is set to receive new communication equipment from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters to beef up its law enforcement and humanitarian operations.

Inspector Alexander Abuel of the ZPPO Communication Electronics Service said the new equipment would comprise of handheld radios with base, repeaters, and mobile radios for police cars.

Abuel said the handheld radios will be distributed to the more than 80 city and municipal police stations here in Zamboanga Peninsula.

He said the three repeaters will be installed at the provincial police headquarters of Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga del Norte.

He said the new equipment will be a boost in the law enforcement and humanitarian missions of the police here in Zamboanga Peninsula in terms of communication facilities.
