Dole readies for Labor Day celebration

THE Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) is now preparing its activities for the celebration of the 112th Labor Day on May 1.

Dole-Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Director Sisino Cano said Thursday that this year’s Labor Day activities include a jobs fair.

Cano said the jobs fairs, which will be participated by local and overseas placement agencies, will be held at the covered court of the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU).

Cano said that 5,000 jobs both for local and overseas employment are up for grabs in the jobs fair.

Cano said this year’s Labor Day celebration is anchored on the theme “Sa Sipag, Tiyaga at Talino, Buong Mundo Saludo sa Manggagawang Pilipino.” (Bong Garcia)
