THE police have arrested two suspected drug pushers, including a woman, in two separate anti-drug operations in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Sibugay (PRO-9) information officer-in-charge Inspector Dahlan Samuddin identified the arrested suspects as Tessie Sanchez and Ruben Dayao of Imelda and Diplahan municipalities, respectively.
Samuddin said that Sanchez was arrested around 6 p.m. Thursday in the village of Poblacion, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Samuddin said Sanchez was arrested after she allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P300 to an undercover policeman.
The arresting policemen recovered from Sanchez’ possession one piece of P100 and another of P200 “marked bills,” three sachets of suspected shabu, P320 cash and other prohibited drugs paraphernalia, Samuddin said.
He said that Dayao was arrested around 11 p.m. Thursday in the village of Poblacion, Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.
He said Dayao was caught in possession of a sachet of suspected shabu by patrolling policemen from Malangas town.
Both arrested suspects were detained while appropriate charges are readied to be filed against them, Samuddin said.
