A TEENAGER died while another survived although hurt in a gun attack in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, the police said Saturday.
Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) spokesman Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca identified the fatality as Marlon Tarroza, 19, who was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Wounded was Raymark Ramos, who sustained a gunshot wound in the left leg and was hospitalized, Huesca said.
Huesca said the incident took place around 11:40 p.m. Friday along Cabato Road, Tetuan village.
He said initial investigation showed the victims, who are both residents of Cabato Road, Tetuan, were allegedly shot by Marvin Gaspar alias “Balut,” who was accompanied by an unidentified companion.
He said the responding policemen from the Regional Public Safety Battalion-Zamboanga Peninsula (RPSB-9) have recovered five spent shells of caliber .45 pistol from the crime scene.
A follow-up operation was launched that resulted in the arrest of Leo Apolinario, Huesca said.
