PERSONS with disabilities (PWDs) will converge at the Centro Latino for a series of activities, as they join the entire nation in the observance of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) week.
The RDPR is being observed nationwide from July 17 to 23.
Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar is expected to grace the opening program of the NDPR at 9 a.m., Monday, July 17.
A motorcade will kick off the activity at 7 a.m. from Pettit Barracks towards the main thoroughfares ending at the Centro Latino.
Highlighting the opening program will be the awarding of PWD friendly establishments and distribution of starter kits by the Department of Labor and Employment.
On Tuesday, July 18, will be the Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center Day at City Mall in Tetuan from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that will feature and showcase PWD talents, a wellness activity and a photo exhibit dubbed PWD in Action.
