TWO newly-completed school buildings worth P11.3 million were inaugurated on Saturday in Zamboanga City.
The inauguration was led by first district Representative Celso Lobregat, who initiated the construction of the two buildings with four classrooms each.
The beneficiary of the project is the Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial Senior High School located in the village of Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City.
The school buildings were constructed by a private contractor under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) district engineering office. Its construction was funded through the Department of Education (DepEd) School Building Program.
Lobregat advised the school officials and students to put to good use the new school buildings given them.
The completion of the project has increased the number of classrooms to 48 in Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial Senior High School.
It also reduced the classroom-student ratio to 24 from 29 per classroom. The school has 1,180 students.
