THE Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) has appointed Dayang Carlsum Sangkula Jumaide as the region's new Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) chief.
Jumaide formally took her oath of office on Monday, October 2, before ARMM Executive Secretary Laisa Alamia.
“We are confident that Secretary Jumaide will serve the Agrarian Reform partners’ interest in our region,” Alamia said.
Alamia said Jumaide replaced Amihilda Sangcopan who filed her resignation in August 2017.
Sangcopan, the third nominee of Anak Mindanao Party-list, will be take over the vacated seat of Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, who announced her resignation on October 2.
Before Jumaide’s appointment, she served as assistant secretary of the ARMM’s Health department for four years.
She also served as a staff nurse from 1993 to 2000 at the Datu Alawaddin Bandon Sr. Memorial Hospital in Tawi-Tawi; health information officer of Tawi-Tawi from 2000 to 2006; project officer of the United States Agency for International Development from 2006 to 2010; and elected as regional assemblywoman.
