Zamboanga mayor orders police to solve crime incidents

Thursday, December 07, 2017

ZAMBOANGA City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar has issued an ultimatum to the local police to arrest the people behind the recent series of shooting, robbery and holdup incidents in the city.

Salazar issued the order as she declared that there is no excuse for lawlessness to exist in Zamboanga City.

Salazar also reiterated the City Government’s non-tolerance of violation of laws when she issued the ultimatum.

The mayor issued the ultimatum as unidentified persons robbed of assorted jewelries from a department store minutes after it opened for business on Sunday, December 3.

“We want to police to arrest the suspects of recent robbery cases. They may have responded to these incidents, but we noticed these incidents (robbery) have become rampant due to Christmas season,” she said.

The mayor met with the police and military sector and discussed recent developments on security matters in this city.
