THE local government will use the 2017 Seal of Good Local Governance prize of P2.4 million to buy patrol vehicles and drones to boost security for Zamboanga City.
This was announced by Councilor Josephine Pareja, chairperson of the City Council’s Committee on Peace and Order, citing the decision to purchase two patrol vehicles and two drones was based on the recommendations of the City Administrator’s Office.
Pareja said each of the patrol vehicles costs P900,000 while the drone is P300,000 each.
She said the vehicles will be used in the enforcement of city ordinances while the drones for security, monitoring and during big events of this city.
This city has been awarded a prize of P2.4 million by the Department of Interior and Local Government after it won the 2017 Seal of Good Local Governance. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
