The victim, Kenn Klifford Lao, a student of Notre Dame College of Jolo, was seized last Thursday outside the school campus.
Lao was supposed to meet a text mate around 3 p.m. Thursday outside the school campus when he went missing.
Lao's mother received a phone call several hours later from an unidentified man, who said he is holding the victim.
Reports said the suspects demanded for ransom money. The police and military, however, are still checking on the veracity of the reports.
Mayor Hussin on Monday asked the captors to consider the safety of the victim.
He said they are doing everything to locate the student. (Bong Garcia)
