Second district Congressman Erico Basilio Fabian, who owns the Blue Stallion Promotions, announced this, saying the event will also feature two other Filipino boxers who are title holders against their Korean foes.
They are World Boxing Organization (WBO) lightweight champions Jim Rex Jaca, and WBO featherweight Michael Farinas, who will fight against Jong Yoon Choi and Ung Hon Kim, respectively.
Fabian said local boxer Marvin Mabait, who was undefeated in all of his professional fight, guns for the Mindanao Professional Boxing Federation (MPBF) Super Flyweight crown against Rodel Veronque.
He said another native Zamboangueño Kid Ventual will battle against Brobro Lanquido in the flyweight class.
Tickets will be available at P100 for bleachers, P200 for box seats, and P300 for ringside seats.
Proceeds from the boxing extravaganza will go to the Philippine National Red Cross Zamboanga Chapter's blood bank rehabilitation, Fabian said. (Bong Garcia)
