All set for Prisaa 2011 in Zamboanga City

ALL is set for the opening of this year's Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa), an athletic competition among private schools in the country, in Zamboanga City on Saturday.
Prisaa Regional Executive Director Elbert Atilano said Friday that this year's Prisaa will open with a grand paraded at 3 p.m. from Pettit Barracks downtown to the Joaquin F. Enriquez Jr. Memorial Sports Complex.

A program will be followed with Mayor Celso Lobregat as the guest speaker.
First district Representative Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar and second district Representative Erico Basilio Fabian will also give their inspirational messages.
Atilano said all the athletic delegates and the officiating officials for the competition have arrived.
The athletic competition proper will be on April 10-14.
Atilano said a total of 4,593 athletes from all over the country will see action in this year's athletic event.
He said there will be a total of 18 athletic events, including six new events.
He said this year's new events are boxing, judo, softball women, dance sports, karate-do, and beach volleyball.
On the 15th, the athletes and Prisaa officials will go on city tour and will visit the Sta. Cruz Island as post-Prisaa activity, Atilano said. (Bong Garcia)
