THE Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet reels off Sunday in Dapitan City in Zamboanga del Norte.

Councilor Apple Marie Agolong, chairman of Dapitan City Council's Committee on Tourism, said the grand opening of ZPRAA will be 4 p.m. at the Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU).

ZPRAA is the second biggest athletic event to be held at the JRMSU. The first was the 2011 Palarong Pambansa wherein the athletic delegations coming from the different parts of the country saw action.

Eight divisions coming from the cities of Dapitan, Dipolog, Isabela, Pagadian and Zamboanga and the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga del Sur are participating in this year's ZPRAA Meet.

Before the opening program, Agolong said that a grand parade will be held at 2:30 p.m. to be participated by the delegates and ZPRAA officials. (Bong Garcia)
