THE City of Zamboanga is hosting the much awaited boxing match for the Philippine Junior Flyweight Championship that will see action two top rank contenders.
Bong Casimiro, sports director of second district Congressman Erico Basilio Fabian, said Cebu City's reigning Flyweight champion Marlon “D Bulldozers” Tapales will slug it out against Philippines' No. 7 contender Charlie “Hagler” Cabilla, who is staying in California, USA.

Casimiro said the boxing event sponsored by Fabian's Blue Stallion Boxing Promotions will be on held on Independence Day at Mayor Vitaliano D. Agan Coliseum in Tetuan village, this city.
Tapales, who packed a good knock-out record, vowed to floor Cabilla in the latter part of the bout as he expressed confidence that he has all the upper hand in this title match.
Tapales belongs to the prestigious Rex Wakee Salud Stable.
Cabilla, a rising boxing challenger, who is also noted as a relentless fighter and brawler, promised fans of exciting and action-filled bout right from the start of the title match.
Casimiro said six other boxing bouts have been slated as undercards of the Tapales-Cabilla main event bout.
He said that tickets for free are being released by Fabian’s Congressional Office at Yang’s Tower in Guiwan village, this city, on a first-come first-serve basis. (Bong Garcia)
