Nestea notches 3rd straight win in FilSino Class B

NESTEA scored its third straight win in the ongoing Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Invitational Cup Class B with an 88-70 victory over Sunkist as Creamy Delight defeated Absolute, 75-68, at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym.

Carlo Chu fired 17 points in the second canto to push Nestea lead to 40-28 at the half as Shinley Uy scored 9 points for Sunkist.

Martin Torrejon, Ceasar Yap, and Joel Masadia combined for 10 points to keep Nestea ahead 59-48 entering the playoff quarter as Nico Yap fired 8 points for Sunkist.

The trio of DK Equipaje, Uy and Brix Arrobang combined for 20 points in the fourth quarter but it couldn't match Nestea's balanced offense led by Glin Ortaliz and Chu with 9 and 6 points, respectively.

Chu spearheaded Nestea 24 points as Masadia and Tan shot 15 points, Ortaliz has 11 points, Onjo Yap produced 10 points and Torrejon with 9 points.

Uy, on the other hand, led Sunkist with 16 points as DK Equipaje and Arrobang nailed 12 points each, while Mark Yu and Tonton Chua shot 8 points apiece.

In the other match, Creamy Delight opened the quarter with 19-12 advantage as Absolute recovered in the 2nd quarter to grab the lead, 37-34.

Miguel Mosquera paced Creamy Delight with 15 points, Harry Siendo added 13 points, Mark Cueva nailed 11 points, and Robbie Jalandoon shot 9 points.

Meanwhile, Brian and Luigi Coo finished with 12 points for Absolute as Richard Co added 9 points, Buddy Eufre with 8 points, Michael Ang had 8, and Bobil Alagaban made 7 markers.
