THE Police Regional Office in Cordillera (PRO–Cor) will double its peacekeeping efforts in the six provinces and two cities in the region during the holiday season.

“We are hoping that the public would be one with us in observing a safe and peaceful Christmas. We assure our fellow Cordillerans that the police personnel of PRO-Cor will be on alert and of service to the people. We also reiterate to the public to refrain from using firecrackers and the illegal discharge of firearms during the Christmas holidays,” Brigadier General Israel Ephraim Dickson, PRO–Cor regional director said.

Lieutenant General Archie Gamboa, PNP officer-in-charge, earlier reminded the public, particularly those in the Cordillera region to be mindful of their surroundings in the community and to coordinate efforts with the nearest police station for any criminal eventuality.

Close to 6,000 police personnel of PRO-Cor will be on alert on during the Christmas and New Year celebration and the upcoming anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines on December 26 this year.
