Cop on Awol caught in Kamagayan raid

A police officer 2 who went absent without official leave (Awol) was caught in a buy-bust in Barangay Kamagayan, Cebu City last Saturday evening.

PO2 Julius Nacua, 46, who was previously assigned with the Getafe Police Station in Bohol, was arrested together with his live-in partner, Dahlia Celedio, 38.

Nacua reportedly went Awol in March 2003 and got involved with illegal drugs.

Also caught was Jefferson Buendia, 34, who yielded two small sachets of shabu and paraphernalia.

Shabu with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P118,000 was seized from the three.

Also confiscated were 15 ampules of Nubain, two syringes and drug paraphernalia.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) led the operation.

In Sitio Lawis, Barangay Pasil, operatives from the Parian police caught a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust. The subject was identified as Dhick Sy, 41, who yielded shabu and a gun. Seized from his possession were 19 small and three medium sachets of shabu, a caliber .45 pistol loaded with five bullets and a weighing scale. (JOB)
