P1-million shabu seized in Bohol

MORE than P1 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by the police in Bohol during a buy-bust operation on Saturday morning, May 21, 2022.

The Tagbilaran City Police Station under the Bohol Police Provincial Office launched their anti-illegal drug operation at 1:50 a.m. in Purok 3, Budlong Street, Barangay San Isidro, Tagbilaran, that led to the arrest of drug suspect Jaime Aguaviva Gumba, 31, of Purok 1, Barangay Taloto, Tagbilaran.

Gumba yielded 200 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P1,360,000, including buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia, his cellular phone and Yamaha Mio motorcycle.

The suspect will be subjected to a forensic examination to determine who his accomplices are in Bohol.

Gumba was included in the list of high-value individuals in Bohol province as he can dispose a high quantity of illegal drugs every week.

Brigadier General Roque Eduardo Vega, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas, commended the Tagbilaran City police for their successful anti-illegal drug operation.

He ordered all police personnel in Central Visayas to continue in their fight against illegal drugs. (AYB, TPT)
