Talisay City, Cebu logs 11 Covid cases on June 26

ELEVEN cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and one recovery were recorded in Talisay City on Friday, June 26, 2020.

Based on a Facebook post from the City of Talisay Public Information Office Saturday, the patients are residents of Barangays Bulacao (1); Lagtang (2); Lawaan (1); Mohon (1); San Roque (2); Dumlog (1); Cansojong (1) and San Isidro (2).

Three of the new cases are frontliners, two recently gave birth and the rest are residents who either experienced symptoms or had influenza-like illnesses.

Two of the 11 new cases have passed away.

Patient Talisay (PT) 200 was declared dead on arrival at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) on Friday. He sought admission for severe acute respiratory infection and was tested on June 24.

PT 208 was admitted to the Talisay District Hospital on June 23 but was transferred to VSMMC the next day where she passed away. She was immediately buried.

As of June 26, Talisay City has a total of 232 Covid-19 cases, with 105 active cases, and 90 recoveries.
