A PEDICAB driver was stabbed to death by two other drivers early Wednesday morning, November 8, at B.S. Aquino Drive in Barangay 4, Bacolod City.

Killed was Arnold Miranda of Victorias City, Negros Occidental.

Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias Jr., head of Police Station 2, said Miranda and the suspects Bernie Villacujer and a certain "Arman" were having a drinking session around 12 midnight.

Due to drunkenness, a heated argument ensued between Miranda and Villacujer. Both engaged in a fistfight while their companion was asleep.

When Villacujer lost to Miranda, he awakened “Arman” around 1:30 a.m. and asked him to help him fight against the latter.

“Arman” stabbed Miranda using a broken bottle of liquor while Villacujer continued to hit the victim.

Miranda succumbed to multiple stab wounds.

Police responded and arrested Villacujer while “Arman” managed to escape.

Hot pursuit operation is ongoing, police said. (GYM)
