MANILA -- Major and independent oil companies will hike pump prices of both gasoline and diesel by 25 centavos per liter effective Tuesday.
The companies are Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Eastern Petroleum Corp., Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Inc., Caltex Philippines, Inc., Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc., and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., PTT Philippines, and Flying V.
Seaoil, Caltex, Flying V, and Shell also announced an increase of 30 centavos for every liter of kerosene while Petron to enforce 20 centavos hike per liter of kerosene.
Officials said the price hike was driven by an uptick in crude prices in the international market. (PNA)
