Boy arrested in Davao drug bust

POLICE arrested a 16-year-old boy in a drug bust at Indangan, Buhangin District, Davao City on Tuesday afternoon, September 27.

Buhangin Police Station head, Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz identified only the suspect as one Drew, 16, resident from Indangan.

Driz said the suspect was arrested around 12:30 p.m. after he handed a pack of suspected marijuana to policeman who acted as poseur buyer.

Authorities recovered three packs of suspected marijuana wrapped in a yellow paper and P200 marked money.

Driz said the operation was coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Davao Region.

Driz added the suspect was allegedly involved in several snatching incidents using a motorcycle.

The suspect is temporarily detained at the Buhangin Police Station for documentation and is facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (ICT)
