AN ELDERLY man died after he was hit by a Ceres Liner bus along Rizal Street in Barangay 5, Silay City, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday night.

Police identified the fatality as Artemio Dusaban Jr., 66.

Superintendent Willy Diel, chief of Silay City Police Station, said the bus was going to Bacolod when it stopped to unload a passenger. However, when the bus moved, the vehicle hit Dusaban when he suddenly crossed the road at about 9:15 p.m.

The bus was driven by Robert Bato, 33, of Lopez Subdivision, Victorias City.
