BAGUO City Police Station 7 number one drug personality was shot by still unidentified suspects Thursday evening along Kayang Street.

Authorities identified the victim as Aminolah Macabada Maurangca, 33, from Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur.

Police investigation reveal the victim, according to wife Asima, was just standing in front of an establishment when a male person about 5-foot-4 in height wearing a black jacket, cap and a mask shot the victim and fled towards Lower Kayang Street.

The bullet hit the victim’s cellphone before penetrating his chest and was immediately rushed to Baguio General Hospital Medical Center.

Responding police however failed to apprehend the suspect while the victim remains under observation.

Maurangca is third to survive an ambush try this week after Hubert Coyoy and Patrick Ngaep who were also shot in a shooting spree Monday evening.

Senior Inspector Laborah May Nabunat of the Baguio City Police meanwhile said as of September 28, there are 1,062 serrenderees consisting of 102 pushers and 960 users, while 144 pusher and users were arrested.

Nabunat added confiscated were 189.31 grams of shabu amounting to more than P1 million, and 2,610 grams of marijuana worth more than P500,000.

These were confiscated in 88 buy-bust operations.
