3 nabbed in Zamboanga drug bust

THE police arrested three people in an anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City on Sunday, the police reported.

The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) identified the suspects as Munawir Yahya, 32, Nuhman Aradani, 33, Yasir Yahya, 23 and Gajir Majindi, 23, all residents of Panglima Estino, Sulu.

The ZCPO reported that the suspects were arrested by the Station Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group of Police Station 11 led by Senior Inspector Lymel John Pasquin around 6 p.m., Sunday, in the village of Pasonanca.

The ZCPO said seized a total of eight heat-sealed plastic sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," P1,000 cash marked money consisting of 10 P100 bills, one caliber .45 pistol with five live ammunitions and assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia.

The suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them.
