In Talisay City, the fatality was identified as Samuel Rydres, 26, of Barangay San Fernando.

Rydres, a construction worker was stabbed by Paolo Azucena, 26, at Barangay Zone 10, on Sunday, the police said.

Initial investigation showed that Rydres, Azucena, and another companion were having a drinking session in the house of Azucena's neighbor when the incident happened.

Rydres asked permission from Azucena to go home, but the latter stabbed him using a 13-inch knife. The victim sustained stab wounds on his left chest and right arm and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police records showed.

In Bacolod City, pedicab driver Angelito Llanes, 26, was stabbed by another driver at Sharina Heights in Barangay Taculing on Saturday.
