Police identify all 3 ‘killers’ of Llaguno

POLICE now have the names of the three men who were alledly involved in the killing of Annalou Llaguno, the alleged ex-wife and girlfriend of the suspected drug lords, Kerwin Espinosa and Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz, respectively.

Cebu City Director Joel Doria urged the public to help the police in tracking down Llaguno’s assailants who were also identified as drug players aside from being hitmen.

“In due time, makukuha rin natin yan sila. Possible na identified na hitman sila considering na binanatan talaga siya (We will catch them. And they’re possible hitman considering that they really finished off the victim),” Doria said.

“We’ll confirm their identities with the names and photos and then we’ll conduct a police operation against them,” the city director said.

The police have a cartographic sketch of the man who shot Llaguno the second time to make sure she was dead.

The gunman was described as 5’5” to 5’7”, in his late 30s, with fair complexion or moreno and had a medium build.

Llaguno succumbed to two gunshot wounds, one in the head and the other in the neck.

Hesitant

Doria expressed worries over the filing of the case because the Llaguno family seemed hesitant to pursue murder charges against the suspects.

Ang isang problema natin ngayon parang yung magulang nagdadalawang-isip kung magpa-file ba ng case against dun sa mga suspect natin but then may krimeng nangyari so we have to continue the investigation (Our one problem is that the parents are hesitant to file a case against the suspect. But a crime was committed so we to continue with the investigation),” he said.

Dapat nilang ituloy kasi kawawa naman, para mabigyan ng justice yung anak niya (They should file charges to give justice to Llaguno’s death),” Doria said.

An informant, who asked not to be named, said Llaguno’s parents who flew from Sweden upon hearing of their daughter’s death opted to let God deal with the suspects.

Amo na lang nang ipasa sa Dios (We’ll leave it to the Lord),” he quoted her saying.

Doria also assured the safety of the witnesses.

The victim was riding her scooter with her boyfriend John Joseph Romarate when they were ambushed by three men. Two acted as gunmen while the third one drove the vehicle last Friday on Carlock St. Barangay Duljo-Fatima.

The police are digging deeper into Llaguno’s background on how she got the funds for her jewelry, lending and apartment businesses.

Llaguno did not have any drug record in all the police stations in Cebu City.

Operatives are still waiting for the response of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) if Espinosa and Llaguno were legally-married to each other.
