THE Davao City Prosecutor's Office has recommended the filing of charges against an alleged drug pusher and three other men who were caught allegedly having a pot session during a drug bust conducted by the police.
Prosecutor Grace Lydda Lariego, in a resolution dated September 30, has recommended the filing of charges before the court against alleged drug pusher Eric Torres Remulta and the three other men identified as Werno Villanueva, Alvin Remulta Pantonial, and Ricky Torres Remulta for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Based on the resolution, Eric Remulta is accused of selling methamphetamine hydrochloride or "shabu" to a police officer who acted as a buyer.
Villanueva, Pantonial, and Ricky Remulta were also separately charged for violation of RA 9165.
During the deal, the policeman also saw the three others in a shabu session inside Remulta’s house.
During the arrest, authorities were able to seize a sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia from the respondents.
All the plastic sachets that were confiscated had undergone a laboratory test and were found positive for shabu.
Urine samples taken from the respondents also tested positive of the presence of shabu except for Remulta.
Prosecutor Lariego found the evidences presented are enough to show that the respondents were validly arrested and these are also enough to charge the respondents for the offenses.
