Just savor these scrumptious collection of dishes at the “Bon Appetit-French Culinary Journey” at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel (MPPH).
Entree: Salade de Aubergine Tomate Sechee; Salade de Moules et Pomme de Terre; Salade de Pois Chiche, Cotiandte et Cumin etc.
Plats: Blanquette de Boeuf (White Beef Stew with Mushroom); Cailles au Raisin (Braised Quail with Red Wine and Grapes), Poule du Pot (Poached Chicken with Vegetables), Pate de Campagne (Pork Pate) etc.
Celebrated French Chef Olivier Foucke, Marco Polo-Xiamen’s executive chef, jetted here at MMPH to be guest chef for a week. Welcoming red carpet honors were accorded him by MPPH bigwigs Dos Lara Scarrow, resident manager Xavier Masson, PR manager Manna Alcaraz and PR officer Yvonne Silva.
Needless to say, our “appetit” was indeed whetted by the exotic items on the menu, with mouth-watering French cheeses, crepes, brulees and gateaux! Chef Foucke, I must say, the experience was c’est delicieux!

Longchamp has been with us for over 65 years, when French founder Jean Cassegrain first introduced this sophisticated bag brand in Paris. Since then the house craftsmen have transformed modern, new designs, making it unique and unlike any other!
Well ladies, the Longchamp boutique is now in Cebu, launched recently at Rustan’s Ayala Center with the following VIPs in attendance. Longchamp area retail manager for Asia-Pacific Romain Chappotteau, Rustan’s Commercial Corp. president Donnie V. Tantoco and RCC division manager for shoes, bags and accessories Paolo Lobregat. Also present was Rustan’s-Cebu store manager Pepet Macachor.
That evening, the Longchamp Autumn 2016 collection was unveiled to 150 lucky, well-heeled guests with designs taken from nature and the wild. Prints such as camouflage and panther, known as Honore 404 Panthere, were dominant; the Roseau Croco was in vibrant colors!
The exclusive style event had flowing champagne, hors d’oeuvres, and house music mixes by DJs. An interactive photo shoot allowed ladies to choose and pose with their favorite Longchamp bag!
