IT TAKES patience to effectively work with people of different personalities and achieve the organization’s goals and objectives.
This is how 28-year-old Aldren Joy Saison Banal describes his new career as Regatta Great Outdoor’s store manager of the Golden ABC, Inc. at a mall in Davao City.
Banal said a shrewd leader knows patience is a secret weapon in getting all things done.
“It is a challenging job because everything must be on top in a manager’s mind. You need to inspire the staff and work hard to put matters into perspective,” Banal said.
For him, the best manager should be able to blend into different situations, inspire people, and be a good example.
Banal was born on August 18, 1988 in Davao City. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in English degree at the Holy Cross of Davao College last 2009.
He was once a seminarian.
He had to leave the diocesan seminary due to financial reasons although admitting he was not really certain about pursuing a life in the brotherhood.
After Banal left the seminary, he helped his family and continued his studies while working as a crew at McDonalds where he became a branch manager from 2007-2009.
Banal worked as a medical representative from 2009 to 2011, then, as supervisor at New City Commercial Corporation (NCCC) Bolton branch from 2012 to 2014.
He worked for Sun Cellular Telecommunications Company for one year before he transferred to Personal Collections Direct Selling, Inc. as training officer in 2015.
Banal said moving to another job was a difficult decision to make but he had to take chances.
“Honestly, I am looking forward to something I did not even know. I have yet to find it. For now, I just focus on my job and enjoy life with family and friends,” he said.
When asked how he managed the pressure of his job now, Banal said, he always seeks guidance from God and makes time for his loved ones.
Banal said he believes that God has plans for him, adding that despite the heavy responsibilities on his shoulders, he sees to it that all is well at the end of the day.
