Davao blast victim’s husband wants mastermind

THE widower of one of the 15 who died during the September 2 bombing of Roxas night market said while he welcomed the arrest of three suspects, he wanted authorities to nab the mastermind.

Edmund Arellano, husband of Maria Luz Arellano, one of the masseurs who died, said in an interview over Bombo Radyo, "Nalipay ko kay nadakpan ang tulo sa napulo ka mga suspek, pero di gayud kompleto ang kalipay nga akong nabati, tungod gusto nako mailhan ug silutan ang utok sa pagpamomba (I’m happy that three suspects were arrested, but my happiness is not complete because I want the mastermind to be arrested and be punished as well)."

Arellano said he believed that the three were paid to do a job and that there were more powerful people behind the Maute Group, to which the three allegedly belong.

"Sa akong tan-aw, naa pay dako nga nagpaluyo ani, sa akong paminaw gibayran ni sila, hayop ni sila, gusto nako ako mopatay nila (I believe there is a more powerful person behind this. I believe these three were just paid, they’re animals, I want to kill them)," Arellano said.

Arellano said with the demise of his wife, he was forced to resign from his job because he has to attend to their three young children.
