Kris Aquino denies using Imelda Marcos’ jewelry

KRIS Aquino is back. And she's mad.

The Queen of All Media broke her silence on Sunday when she addressed rumors that she supposedly wore one of former first lady Imelda Marcos' jewelries.

The television host said that designer JC Buendia and her sister Viel showed her a Facebook post about a diamond necklace she wore last November 2015 at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Netizens speculated that the same piece of jewelry belongs to the sequestered jewelry collection of the Marcoses by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

Some Facebook users even went to accusing Aquino of borrowing it from the central bank just to wear to the occasion.

This was denied by the TV host.

"It seems you don't want me to stay quiet and your trolls want to keep perpetuating lies about me," she added.

"The necklaces supposedly belonged to Mrs. Marcos & I was brazen enough to wear them for the APEC DINNER. Duh?" she added.

She explained that the necklace she wore during the APEC event was made from cubic zirconia and silver and not diamonds.

Aquino said she bought it from luxury Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta and she has the receipts to show.

"ENOUGH! And the TRUTH is on my side -- including credit card receipts."

"I paid for them with hard earned, tax paid income, and hindi ko na problema kung yung pagnanakaw ng iba trip nilang ibintang/pagtakpan using me. So this is FAIR WARNING. Stop lying about me if you don't want your rotting skeletons unearthed," she said.

Aquino said she will wear the necklace at her press event on Tuesday.

"Even if my necklaces aren't appropriate for showing how you can remove more than 100 different types of stains--what the heck, isusuot ko na sila, after all." (Sunnex)
