Capitol signs agreement with transport groups, CSF

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Provincial Government of Pampanga led the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the different transport groups and the City of San Fernando that aims to help the operations of the "Salilungan," the province's first-ever one-stop-shop Pasalubong Center.

The signing was led by Governor Lilia Pineda and City of San Fernando Mayor Edwin Santiago and representatives of the different bus companies and transport operators. The memorandum hopes to help in the foot traffic along the said facility. With commuter vehicles making a stop or passing through the said facility, due attention will be given to the different stalls and shops that sell wares and crafts in the said facility.

Board Member Anthony Joseph Torres, chairman of the Committee on Trade and Industry of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, said Salilungan is being operated by the provincial government.

Currently, there are 20 stalls that are being operated by different participating small and medium enterprises and other companies in the said Kapampangan shed.

According to Department of Trade and Industry III Director Judith Angeles, Salilungan is the biggest pasalubong center in Central Luzon.
