Wife of Dabawenyo in Saudi death row seeks Duterte's help

THE wife a Dabawenyo who is allegedly on the death row for a murder case in Saudi Arabia is seeking help from President Rodrigo Duterte.

Charrymi Gonzales, a resident of SIR Matina, in an interview with SunStar Davao, said that her husband Rogelio is detained and in the death row for the alleged murder of a 40-year-old Filipina in Al Khobar Saudi Arabia.

Gonzales said she got this information from her husband through a telephone call.

Gonzales said that the Filipina who was allegedly killed by her husband was from Quezon City, and that her husband told her in their conversation that the family of the killed Filipina is now asking for blood money, which her husband could not produce.

Gonzales said that her husband Rogelio was caught by Saudi authorities and was allegedly tortured last August 31 and was brought to the hospital last September 4, due to his injuries.

The wife is coordinating with the Embassy of the Philippines in Saudi, the Overseas Worker Welfare Administration, and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
