A 16-YEAR-OLD girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping into sea from the port in Barangay Poblacion, Argao last Wednesday afternoon.

Sara (real name withheld) was reportedly pregnant and kept it from her parents.

Senior Insp. Welther Grapa, the town police chief, said they recovered a suicide note that had a cryptic message, which said that Sara’s friend knew her secret.

Investigators asked the girl’s friend about her problem. The friend told the police that Sara’s boyfriend left her.

Sara, a grade ten pupil, told her friend that her parents did not allow her to enter in a relationship.

The girl jumped past 3:10 p.m. As of 5:30 p.m. yesterday, the divers were still looking for her body.

Sara’s bag contained the suicide note and personal belongings were recovered by the police in the port.

At 8 a.m., on the same day, a lifeless farmer was found in Sitio Tabon, Barangay Tubod, Sibonga.

The body of Gary Pilarca Sarda, 33, was discovered by his neighbors lying near the river.

Investigation conducted by the team led by SPO1 Bernard Olivar Otida showed the victim suffered gunshot wounds in the head.

They found a .38 revolver with two empty shells and a dud bullet inside its cylinder near the victim’s body and two bullets on the ground.

Before Sarda was found dead, he reportedly had an argument with his brother-in-law Julieto Villarmino, who was reportedly armed with a gun.

Villarmino was later seen by his neighbors chasing the victim. The police are now looking for him.
