Man shot dead, 2 drug suspects hurt

A MAN died while a father and son were injured after they were shot by unidentified men in separate incidents in Negros Oriental on October 20.

In San Jose town, Edwin Prejoles, 34, a resident of Maningcao, Sibulan town and his partner, were on board a motorcycle when Prejoles was gunned down by an unidentified man at Janay-Janay at about 8:20 p.m. His partner survived.

Police have yet to establish the motive of the incident.

In La Libertad town, a father and son were injured after they were shot by unidentified men on a motorcycle along the national highway of Barangay Pisong at about 5:10 p.m.

Police identified the victims as Simeon Amolo Jr., 51, and his son Jun Bernard Amolo, 27, who are both drug personalities of Guihulngan City Police Station.

Initial investigation showed the victims were on board a motorcycle driven by the younger Amolo when the assailants fired at them on their way home.

Police recovered at the crime scene nine bullets of .45 caliber pistol and a slug.
