P130,000 in jewelry, cash stolen

AN ESTIMATED P130,000 worth of jewelry and cash were stolen by an unidentified man from a residence at Euphemia Compound, Barangay Taculing in Bacolod City on Sunday.

The house of the 59-year-old victim, whose name was withheld by the police, was entered by the robber by destroying the main door, records showed.

Initial investigation indicated that nobody was home because the owner attended church.

She went home at 1 p.m. and discovered that the drawers inside her bedroom were already opened.

The robber carted away her jewelry worth P50,000 and cash amounting to P80,000. (GYM)
