P50,000 in drugs seized at checkpoint

TWO men were arrested for possession of an estimated P50,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a police checkpoint at Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Monday.

Police identified the suspects as Adrian Gariando, 36 and Marvin Torres, 28, both of Barangay Aguisan.

Both suspects were on a motorcycle when they were flagged down by police past noon time.

Police recovered from them two sachets of shabu weighing five grams and an improvised tooter.

In Isabela town, Kirk Torre, 29, and Lope Emperado, 34, were collared by police in a buy-bust on Monday.

Police seized from them two sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the P300 marked money.

Also arrested was Johnny Ordoñez, 36, a drug surrenderer in San Enrique town.

Ordoñez yielded five sachets of shabu, P1,000 cash, and the P200 marked money.

Most wanted falls

The seventh and eighth most wanted persons of Bago City Police Station were arrested by virtue of an alias warrant at Barangay Balingasag on Sunday.

Police identified the suspects as Jerry Sumacolob, 30 and Eleo Manlabe, 33.

The alias warrant for murder was issued by Judge Frances Guanzon of Regional Trial Court Branch 62 in Bago City.
