Drug suspect shot dead in Dumaguete

A SUSPECTED drug personality was gunned down by an unidentified man in Barangay Looc, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on Monday.

Police identified the fatality as Vincent Rosal of Boloc-Boloc, Sibulan town.

Initial investigation showed that Rosal was walking home at about 8:20 p.m. when the assailant on a motorcycle shot him. Rosal sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, Remegio Mercado, 64, of Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental died after he was shot to death by his relative on Sunday.

Police identified the suspect as Teting Ortiz, 40, of Barangay Sta. Rosa.

Both were drunk when a heated argument ensued between them that resulted to the incident.

Also died was Rammy Julom when he was stabbed to death by Bienvenido Sarita, 31, after a heated argument ensued between them while they are in a drinking session at Toboso town.

The victim went to the suspect’s house and harassed him which prompted the suspect to stab Julom. (GYM)
