DAVAO Light and Power Co. will conduct 15-minute power interruptions on October 29 and 31 affecting customers in some parts of Diversion Road and Downtown areas.
Rossano Luga, Davao Light Communication Officer, said that these power interruptions will be necessary to facilitate the Preventive Maintenance Servicing of the Gaisano Substation.
To keep service disruptions at the barest minimum, load from the said substation will be temporarily transferred to Victoria Feeder 1 on October 29, from 10 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. Normalization or return of load back to its original set up will be on October 31, from 6 a.m. to 6:15 a.m.
Affected by these power interruptions are customers from Maa corner diversion road up to Buhangin underpass including Davao Crocodile Park and Jade Valley. This will also affect customers from El Bajada Hotel along J.P. Laurel Avenue up to Redemptorist Church, which includes Circumferential Road, Dona Vicenta Village, part of Marfori, and the entire areas of Bacaca and El Rio Subdivision.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience of these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
