THE Civil Service Commission-Cordillera Administrative Region recently conferred to the Department of Trade and Industry as the first government agency in the Cordillera to be commended on all four Core HRM areas under the CSC’s Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (Prime-HRM).
Only nine out of 133 agencies in CAR covered under the Prime-HRM were given the award with DTI-CAR one of the first three agencies in the region to receive such award in 2015.
DTI was initially recognized for achieving Maturity Level II indicators on Recruitment, Selection and Placement and Performance Management for both Systems and Competencies.
The DTI-CAR was originally accredited by the CSC on June 21, 1993. On June 25, 2013, the Level II-Accredited Status of the DTI-CAR was revalidated. After the conduct of the Comprehensive HRM Assistance, Review and Monitoring or CHARM on January 9, 2014 by the CSC-CAR, the DTI-CAR was granted Prime-HRM Level II-Accredited Status on February 18, 2014.
The other eight agencies, which were recognized in at least one core HRM area, are Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, Baguio Water District, City Government of Baguio, DepEd-CAR Regional Office, DepEd Division of Abra, DSWD-CAR, Neda-CAR, and the Provincial Government of Benguet.
The CSC-CAR also recognizes the efforts of agency HRM Offices for their crucial role towards the attainment of agency excellence in HRM. (CSC–CAR)
