Freakshakes that make you drool

FREAKSHAKES have been the talk of the town recently because of its unique and creative dessert presentation.

This is even more appealing if complemented with an Instagram-worthy interior of the cafe that attracts the young populace who invade the social media by storm. We, of course, are not an exception to this.

Looking for a food hub that would satisfy our sweet cravings, I and my partner, Ren Roxas, were brought by our feet at the sweet little haven of the town - the Cheat Time Bakehouse which is located at Guerero St., corner Ponce St. in Davao City.

I brought him with me because I got curious how these freakshakes- milkshakes with cake toppings-taste like. Yes, its sweetness is expected but its exquisite presentation with attention to detail made it extraordinary.

As we entered, we were welcomed by a fresh interior design where there was a wooden table that allows the customers to sit like a Japanese. The place is adorned by cute emoji pillows and several blackboard-styled frames with motivational quotations.

We ordered our favorite flavor, chocolate milkshake, but with different toppings. I chose the red velvet while he preferred a chocolate moist cake. We then waited for minutes and since I couldn’t wait to taste it, I kept on checking for our orders (yeah, that was how excited I was).

Finally, when our orders were finally served, they did not disappoint us.

Just their looks alone could make one be tempted to gorge them immediately, however, I was pretty sure that I could not fall asleep without taking shots of its splendid and dashing creaminess that filled the mason jar. Who would miss the chance not to take a dozen of photo for the sweet generosity of the dessert?

As the freakshakes were totally sweet, people who have history of diabetes must refrain from eating this (sorry guys).

The freakshakes we ordered were actually just massive milkshakes topped with an insanely daunting pile of cake loaded with milky ice cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles with stick-o as glorious toppers. It was like the gems of the earth overflowed in a magical jar.

The shake itself is delicious especially when combined with a smooth cake, yumminess! Chocolate is the most popular flavor, however, the bakeshop provides a wide variety of flavors and delightful toppings for the shakes.

They also served yema cake, red velvet, sans rival and cheesecakes while for milk shakes, they have their regular flavors like vanilla, durian, strawberry and special flavors like rocky road, coffee crumble, kisses salted caramel, java chip, strawberry cookies and creams, vanilla oreo, Nutella, and blueberry.

Guess what the cheater's favorite is? It's Matcha, the all-time favorite and best seller.
