Anne Curtis finishes NYC Marathon

ANNE Curtis proves to be a "fitspiration" to her millions of fans after she finished her first marathon in New York City.

The television host/actress was among the thousands who participated at this year's New York Marathon and successfully survived a 42-kilometer run.

"I did it! My very first marathon in NYC! What a bucket list moment! I can't explain how fulfilling it is when you cross the finish line. It certainly isn't easy but the whole experience is worth the physical pain," she wrote in an Instagram post.

Curtis added that even though she went through a tough time, she was comforted by the support of Filipinos who came to cheer for her.

"The spectators are there to cheer you on, give you power up high-fives and push you when you feel like you want to stop. To all the kababayans that were out there today to cheer me on... screaming and some even with posters, Maraming Salamat. Nakakaiyak and yan po ang dahilan kung bakit halos hindi nawala ang ngiti ko."

The 31-year-old also dedicated her run to the Filipino youth and was able to raise funds for the benefit of Unicef Philippines.

Aside from Curtis, her "It's Showtime" co-host Kim Atienza also took part in the biggest and most popular marathon in the world.

The NYC Marathon attracts nearly 50,000 finishers every year. (Sunnex)
