Trinidad: Aliens

WHEN I was 16 or 17, I watched this talk show on television about Aliens. I don’t remember who the lady guest was, or the male host, maybe it was Joe Quirino. Or maybe not. I don’t even remember the title of the program. What stayed with me was the memory of how authoritative the lady guest was on the subject of Aliens.

I distinctly remember how believable she was, arguing that Aliens were real. This was during the time when everyone believed Earth was the only survivable planet in the entire universe and talk of Alien existence was taboo.

The lady guest said the Aliens were observing us and that we would someday need to leave this planet because of the destruction that was coming. One day, she said, they would beam us up to their spaceships and bring us to a better planet.

The lady guest closed the show by asking the viewers to go out that night, look up at the sky, and look for the Alien spaceship. It would be a series of lights close together that would be stationary for a while, and then it would move across the sky. She said the Aliens would make an appearance that night.

I was excited and so convinced about the Aliens appearing that I forgot my fear of being out of the house alone, so close to midnight. Midnight was the time the dogs in our neighbourhood began to howl one after the other, eerie howls that definitely signified unseen presences. I ignored that fear, so intent on seeing for myself the proof of Alien existence.

I wrapped myself in a blanket, hoping someone else in the house was awake so they could come with me. Everyone was asleep. Bravely, I ventured out into our garden.

It was a starry night. I stared up at the sky, scoring the sky above me for the flickering lights. I must have been there a good 15 minutes, just looking up at the sky, waiting for the Alien ship to appear. And then I chuckled. I suddenly remembered the date, feeling ridiculous. April 1. April Fool's Day.

What a prank, I thought, laughing at myself. I had been fooled.

Really? Somehow there was a part of me that refused to believe it was all just a prank. I had the gut feeling that Aliens were real, and maybe, I would have seen them if I had just stayed longer. Or looked in a different direction. Maybe I should have faced North rather than East. But North was scary with the dark shadows from the mountain and the banana trees. East was bright from the moon, so I chose to focus there.

To this day, I wonder, right at the moment I turned around; did the Alien ship appear?

Oh well, perhaps I will never know.

What I know is that over the years, reports about Aliens and proofs of their existence have been cropping up. NASA has confirmed that Alien life exists. There are websites all over the internet about Aliens working closely with us humans to bring enlightenment to the world.

Many confirm what the lady in the late night show said all those years ago -- that the Aliens are coming to beam us up and bring us to a better planet.

A few years ago, I came across this book, Starseed Transmissions: Raphael; a channelled book by author Ken Carey.

I wish you would find a copy of this book and digest it so you gain an alien perspective on why we are here.

The introduction is straightforward. Raphael is an extraterrestrial.
Extraterrestial. Merriam Webster defines extraterrestrial as coming from or existing outside the planet Earth. Wikipedia says extraterrestrial life or alien life is life that does not originate from Earth.

Aliens are extraterrestials. They do not originate from the Earth.
Angels are extraterrestrials...
