Man hacked to death by son in Negros Oriental

AN ELDERLY man was hacked to death by his own son at their house in Sitio Sicopong, Barangay Poblacion, Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental on Sunday.

Police identified the fatality as Wodro Ambos, 70.

Chief Inspector George Badon, chief of Sta. Catalina Municipal Police Station, said Ambos was drunk when he arrived home around 3 p.m.
He went berserk and threw kitchenware at his son, Gene Ambos, 40, prompting the latter to hack him with an ax.

The elder Ambos succumbed to a head injury.

Parricide charges were filed on Monday against the younger Ambos, who is detained at the station's custodial facility. (GYM)
